2012 Spring/Summer Offering
| Dear Coast Hills Family, June 2012 Dear Coast Hills Family, I have some exciting church family news that I want to share with you. We have a wonderful window of opportunity before us that will allow us to save $75,000 to $100,000 per year! Several months ago, the Elders, senior team and I decided that the time was perfect to enter into discussions with several banks about refinancing our existing mortgage that is due in September 2014. Currently our mortgage rate is 6% and we have the opportunity to refinance at a much lower interest rate. Here is the challenge before us. All the banks we have talked to so far indicate that we need to meet certain financial requirements for our fiscal year that ends June 30 in order to refinance. To put it simply, we need to break even this fiscal year after setting aside funds for our Building Reserve. Based on our latest projections to accomplish this goal, we need to raise $575,000 in the month of June. Our June offering would typically average $260,000 so that means we need to raise an additional $315,000 by June 30. If we could refinance our loan at these current low rates, we could gain an additional $100,000 each year to invest in ministry. In order to accomplish this, we need your help. Please prayerfully consider giving a $500 gift in addition to your regular June giving. If 1,000 families commit to this we will raise $500,000 in addition to our regular June offerings. This will meet our $315,000 goal and provide some additional cushion for the banks. This is a historic window of opportunity and we don’t want to miss it. So as God leads you, please fill out the enclosed card and either mail it or drop it in the June offering. If it’s more convenient, giving is also available on our website at www.coasthillschurch.org/giving. I am very confident that we can reach this goal but we can’t rely on only a few individuals. We need to do this together as a church family. As always, I am so incredibly thankful for you and your partnership as we Love Jesus, Serve Others and Share the Story.
