Finishing out our year in the Book of Acts, we look at what compelled Paul to the extraordinary lengths he went to preach the Gospel in Rome. Paul answers this question for us in his letter to the Corinthians: the love of Christ. Enduring shipwrecks, imprisonment, and countless forms of opposition, Paul’s example reminds us that love hopes and believes all things (1 Corinthians 13). As we read the book of the Acts of the Holy Spirit, we recognize that the book never ended, because the Holy Spirit is still moving through us today. In light of this, we, like Paul, can live and love boldly for the sake of the Gospel.
