In Acts 15, the early Church faces an important decision: Do Gentile believers need to receive circumcision? Paul writes to the Galatians that, “by works of the flesh, no man will be justified,” and Peter declares, “We believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved in the same manner as they,” (Acts 15:11). In this crucial historical moment, tough questions are brought to the Church, and these faithful men look to what God has done through Jesus and through His Spirit — pouring out on the Gentiles by His grace and through their faith. Truly, Jesus is the Eternal Lamb of Sacrifice and it is finished.
